Riding Bikes withOUT training wheels

Last Friday Cameron came inside and put on his elbow and knee pads and told me he was going to ride a bike without training wheels. I said okay and sent him out the door. A few minutes later he came in and told me to come and watch him. Sure enough he had found a smaller bike and he would push with both feet until he got going and then start pedaling. It was quite impressive. It didn't take long until he was zooming around our circle. When Annie came home from kindergarten Cameron showed Annie, but she didn't want to try. After a few minutes she decided that she would just sit on the bike and just push a long with her feet. After a few minutes of that she was riding this same little bike. It was fun to watch them. Annie and Cameron would each have 5 turns around the circle and then trade. On Saturday Eric took off their training wheels and now they are cruising around on their big bikes. It has been so much fun to watch them.
Megan also likes to ride bikes. She is getting good at pedaling her tricycle around the circle. We love being outside!

good for them! I keep trying to convince Kayleigh (and Jared) to take their training wheels off....we have taken them off, but they opt out, and we put them back on!!!

I think these kids are the smartest. I think our kids, including you Katie, learned to ride two wheelers by being taken to the top of the dirt hill balanced for a few seconds and then let go with a big see you at the bottom.
Congrats Annie and Cameron, and we are glad you have a great place to ride. Grandma
