On Friday night we went camping at Stony Brook State Park, just an hour south of where we live. We went hiking there last year and were excited to return. We were able to go with 5 other families (Christensens, Bates, Mildensteins, Stoddards, Hanneys). The weather was perfect on Friday night. We got there around 4:45pm and had fun set up our tent, playing around, having dinner, making s'mores, roasting starbursts, etc. After kids were in bed we had a fun time laughing and talking around the camp fire. It started to rain early in the morning and let up enough for us to still have a very yummy breakfast (pancakes, sausage, eggs, muffins, and orange juice). Right after breakfast it started to rain harder which made breaking down camp a lot of fun. Thanks everyone for the fun camping trip.
