Visiting at the Hospital

Baby Megan had some presents for Cameron and Annie. She gave them Little People toys Maggie (with the schoolbus) and Michael (with the loader). They both liked the new toys, but while Cameron loved playing with his toy Annie was actually far more interested in holding and cuddling baby Megan! At first Cameron was a little nervous about Megan, but it didn't take him long to warm up to her and want to hold her. He soon wanted to take turns holding her but then it didn't take him long to say, "Annie's turn" each time he was holding her.
Mommy and baby. As one of the doctor's said, Katie's the poster-child for at-home births (since things went so well), though she wouldn't want to be! Katie even got to sign the birth certificate where the doctor usually would as the witness to the birth.

Big Sister! Annie is totally loving baby Megan. At the hospital she just wanted to keep holding Megan. She also just had Megan's head lay on her lap while we were just sitting there talking. When she got home from preschool on Tuesday, Annie immediately asked if we could see baby Megan and if mom was at home. This morning she wanted to go see mom and Megan at the hospital right away. She has been very cute. She couldn't bear to go to quiet time today with Megan here, so we let her skip it today. Cameron also really loves Megan, but he's been a little more emotional about all the change going on around here.
