Special Visitors

It has been a really long time since we have had visitors. We hadn't seen any of our family since last summer and so it was a real treat to have my parents come. We had such a great time being together and doing things we hadn't done before and revisiting some of our favorite places.
Mom and Dad got here Thursday night just in time to say good night to the kids. Then on Friday we went to the Strong National Museum of Play in the morning.

Then while the kids were at preschool and James was napping we (Annie, my mom, Eric, and I) went to the Susan B. Anthony house. It was very interesting and we enjoyed learning more about her and her influence in getting woman the right to vote.

That evening we made yummy Thai food and then took my parents on a tour of University of Rochester campus and Eric's building and lab.
Saturday both Eric and I got a run in and then we all headed to Corning to the Corning Museum of Glass. We had never been there and it was very interesting. Cameron especially loved all of the shows (glass breaking, flame working, optical fiber demo, and hot glass show). We also enjoyed seeing all of the designs and things that are made out of glass. That night after we got home we went to Red Robin for dinner and played Just Dance 2 on the Wii.

On Sunday we enjoyed just hanging out playing games, going to church, having a delicious dinner, and doing Family Home Evening.
Monday was our last day together we decided to head to Palmyra because it might be the last time my parents get to see the church sites. We went to the Hill Cumorah and hiked straight up the hill (we wouldn't want to go on the side walk). Then we went to the Joseph Smith family homes and the Sacred Grove. It was very nice, but so cold. After that we got happy meals which made all of the kids very HAPPY!!! We then went to the Gradin Press where the 1st copies of the Book of Mormon were printed. The kids always love that tour. Our final stop was for ice cream at the Chill n' Grill. YUMMY!!! It was a great day. We ended the day with Grandma and Grandpa getting to see the kids at Splash Week swimming lessons.

Thanks for coming Mom and Dad. We had a wonderful time!:)
